I like big brains and I cannot lie.
That's a real brain by the way. Someone donated it to the exhibition for everyone to view.
I really do respect those who donate their bodies for the sake of science. I'm okay with the idea of donating my organs but somehow I'm unwilling to donate my body to the medical school. I'm weird I know but it's so wasteful to just let medical students to carve up my body whereas my organs can actually save lives then and there. I know, one day, one of those students might make a groundbreaking history that will rock up the entire science world, but how long will that take and will it ever be because of my donated body?
So, after lecture, someone asked us "who thinks that you're in charge of your body, please raise up your hand" So, we raised our hands confidently, cause true what, we are the masters of our bodies. Then he called everyone to stand up and ask whoever that wants to donate their organs, remain standing. Some sat and more did so when he asked who are on the donor registry list and had discussed about this issues with their families? More than half then sat down (including me LOL)
So finally he said, "To those who sat down, I thought you said you are in charge of your body. What do you mean by that?"
And we were like OH YA, we did say that. And I guess that it's true that after we die, we're no longer in charge of our bodies after we're dead. It really boils down to the ones still living to make these decisions for us. So, it's indeed very important to talk to your family before committing to this responsibility.
Moral of the story: Keep standing up. LOL. Then you can look smug while everyone stare at you in awe. LOL
Okay, this is really just one of my randomest ramblings. Gotta head back to work.
Till then.
