I'm not too sure if I want to become a surgeon in the future but the prospect of becoming one sounds interesting.
So, the fundamental thing a surgeon must learn, in my opinion, is suturing! Because no point doing a fantastic surgery and not know how to stitch your patient up nicely right LOL
Yesterday, I joined a workshop that teaches you how to suture. It only costs 2 pounds which is a rather worth it. :)
Our surgical tools. And yes, including the banana too! We had to suture up the wounded banana.
My suturing partner, Xue Lin. :)
No idea what is this surface. Not a sponge like I initially thought. The material felt like a real skin! I think it's even better than my skin cause mine became so dry and I keep forgetting to slab on some moisturizer before heading out. It's cracking now :(
Daniel suturing the banana like a boss!
and TADAH! Here's the banana I saved from death. LOL I don't make any sense. I guess it's fairly decent since it's my first try. But I definitely need to practice more.
And it actually ruptured a bit cause I just shoved it into my backpack without looking :(
At first I had trouble following the instructions cause my brain is generally slow in processing information. LOL but after a while, I finally got the hang of it. It's not that difficult once you get into the rhythm.
But it's just a basic technique, there're far more advanced suturing techniques to learn.
Yeah, it is still in my study table's spot of glory. Along with my bottle of nutella and cheerios. LOL |
WHY SO SERIOUS?
Overall, I had a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to learn more about this! :)
Now who wanna be my guinea pig? :D
